I had an amazing experience with Tunco Life during my time in El Salvador. I did several tours with them, including Santa Ana Volcano, the Ruta de las Flores, Tamanique Waterfalls, and a trip to the Bolas de Fuego festival.
My guides Pablo and Salva were both fantastic. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. They explained a lot about the places we visited, but at the same time the tours never felt like someone was just reciting information from a script. We had great conversations along the way and they were always happy to answer questions.
I really enjoyed every tour with Tunco Life and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and friendly guides in El Salvador. If I come back to El Salvador, I would definitely book with them again!

Salva was the perfect guide for our Ruta de Flores tour. He was a wealth of knowledge of everything El Salvador. We were able to spend ample time at each stop along the tour, never feeling rushed. Santa Ana Volcano Hike – 3/5, Mainly Due to the Pace and Drop-Off

The communication and organization before the tour were excellent, and the pickup from San Salvador worked perfectly. Pablo was also friendly and professional.

Unfortunately, the hike itself felt too rushed. The pace was very fast, with little consideration for slower walkers, and we only spent around 5 minutes at the volcano before heading back. I would have really liked more time to enjoy the view and atmosphere.

The biggest issue was the drop-off in San Salvador. I asked if I could be dropped off closer to my accommodation, but the alternative drop-off was at a roadside stop on the highway. I literally had to walk along the highway for around 20 minutes, with cars speeding past me, until I reached an area where there were proper sidewalks again. I did not feel safe at all. A drop-off somewhere within the city would have been much better.

Overall, well organized, but the actual experience felt rushed and could have been much more enjoyable with a slower pace and more time at the volcano.

My husband and I had an absolutely incredible experience with El Tunco Life! We did the Santa Ana Volcano tour with David and the Ruta de las Flores and Tamanique Waterfalls tours with Salva. Every tour exceeded our expectations.

They picked us up directly from our hotel, making everything easy and stress-free from the very beginning. David and Salva were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about sharing their beautiful country. Also both of them speak English which made it a lot easier for my husband to communicate.

More than just taking us to amazing destinations, they made my husband and me fall in love with El Salvador—the kindness and hospitality of the Salvadorian people, the delicious food, the breathtaking views, and the rich culture. Throughout the entire trip, we always felt incredibly safe and well taken care of. They made sure we had the best experience possible.

Really great experience with Tunco Life, our guide Salvo was super friendly and really knowledgeable. He shared a lot about not just the area, wildlife and volcano, but also about the history of El Salvador and really added a lot to the hike itself. The Santa Ana volcano is stunning and well worth the trip from El Zonte. Highly recommend. Lunch spot was gorgeous too.
