Upon landing at El Salvador International Airport (SAL), also known as Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport, you’ll need to go through immigration before collecting your bags. Here’s what you need to know:Visa Entry Fee
- Travelers from most countries, including the U.S., Canada, and the EU, need to pay a $12 tourist visa fee upon arrival. This must be paid in cash (USD).
- If you are Salvadoran by descent, you can avoid this fee by presenting a DUI (Documento Único de Identidad) or a photo of one of your parent’s Salvadoran passports.
Required Documents
- A valid passport (make sure it’s valid for at least six months).
- The address and name of your first-night accommodation.
- Proof of onward travel may be requested (e.g., return flight ticket).

Once you’ve passed through immigration, head to the baggage claim area to collect your luggage. Afterward, you will go through customs.

After clearing customs, it’s time to meet your driver. Follow these simple instructions to locate your pickup:- Exit the airport and turn right.
- Look for a Pizza Hut kiosk—this is the designated meeting point.

If you notify us at least 6 hours before your scheduled arrival, we can reschedule your pick-up or drop-off at no additional cost, or even provide a full refund.
If the driver has already arrived at the airport or your hotel for pick-up, no refund will be issued.

If you inform us in advance, there are no extra charges. We will simply adjust your pick-up time to match your new arrival schedule.
If you don’t inform us and we wait more than 1 hour at the airport, a $10.00 waiting fee will apply.
