The Government of President Nayib Bukele is taking firm steps towards the recovery of the economy through the airline industry, since it is recognized that in the midst of a pandemic, Frontier Airlines will begin commercial operations in our country.
Our president, Federico Anliker, accompanied the vice president of Airport Customer Service Frontier Airlines, Randy Ruggieri, to announce the start of commercial operations at the El Salvador International Airport, starting on April 13 of this year.
Frontier is a LOW-COST airline with 94 aircraft, all of the Airbus A320 family with a capacity of 186 seats; it moves around 25 million passengers in the 111 destinations in which it operates. In addition, it has 400 flight routes in the US, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Canada, and soon El Salvador. In our country it will operate with a frequency of 4 flights a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Frontier’s initial service proposal is for its aircraft to travel from El Salvador to Miami Florida and vice versa.
