From the moment you are picked up by your guide in Ataco, the adventure begins. You will ride in a 4×4 up into the mountains past views of Guatemalan volcanos.
You will be dropped into the middle of the jungle, surrounded by dense tropical forest. Your goal: to return to the extraction point by the end of the day, and the only way is through a path that leads to the secret waterfalls. Then the choice is yours: jump, or rappel?
The local guide, William, will share with you generations of knowledge about the native plants and their medicinal/edible uses. If you’re lucky, you may even find some tropical fruits to eat, such as ….

The return hike up isn’t the easiest, but it’s all a part of the adventure. Make sure to bring sports shoes that can get wet, some bug spray and plenty of water.
Learn from a local guide his knowledge about local plant life, their medicinal properties and also how locals used them in practical way. Like the cojones, a green circular shape plant that produces a white sap that is used as glue.
Not to mention the biodiveristy of wildlife you are going to see during the hike, the perfect addon for this tour.
